Any tips on verbal reasoning test?

Hi, I just found it's really difficult for me to survive in a verbal reasoning test, cos I am not native English speaker and probably I have poor logic ability? Although I have done some practices from SHL, I thought the real ones were more complicated. I passed all the numerical tests and logic reasoning but failed all the verbal ones, could anyone give me some advice? Thanks
