Maths question help!!

Elise is a project manager.
In 2016 she earned a monthly salary of £2100
In 2017 she was awarded a 3% pay increase on her salary.
Given that in 2017 Elise worked 42 hours per week for 45 weeks, work out her average pay per hour for the year.
Some one help me please! What’s the answer and how did you work it out????

3% of £2100 is £63

To get her average pay per hour in 2017, we have to multiply her £2163 monthly salary by 12, then divide it first by 42 and then by 45. But, 42 x 45 = 21 x 90, so first divide by 21, which gives 103, and 12/90 = 2/15, 103 x 2 / 15 = 206/15 or about £13.73 to the nearest penny.

My comment was directed at @Justvisited who, perhaps being unaware of the posting guidelines, posted a complete solution to your question.

£63 is the right answer as 2100 divided by 100 is 21 and times by 3 is 63
