Office of National Statistics - I need advice (tech skills)

I have a politics degree with a little quantitative modules. I have just been offered a research analyst role and im very worried about my abilities being able to make any form of contribution. There is training available, but first impressions are imporant as its a 9 month initial contract.

I have a little experience with analyst software but it truly isnt something i boast about. But i feel there may be expectations on having somewhat developed programming competency. They use SAS, STATA, Python, R..

Ive only used R and Python in very few modules at university while having a 3 month research assistant role abroad where i also used very little of R at the time.

Am i in over my head? I will be working with the economics team, analysing imports and exports, monitoring UK industries in trade.

Any advice or thoughts?
