Film Production experience

I'm finding it so hard to get any set experience whether that would be film or TV. I really need it to pass this semester... any tips?...

Have you considered signing up with someone like Casting Collective to be an extra in TV and Film. They offer emergency castings with specific requirements. Now this might not gain you specific set design opportunities. However, if you get on set for a production you may be able to network or find other opportunities. Also have you considered Theatre companies to volunteer your time at and network towards TV and Film specific set design. Sometimes spending time just enjoying the craft and volunteering your time will lead to the specific opportunities you need.
