The Student Room Group

should i do a MSc at a 'bad' university with 3 month placement or a RG with no..

....no placement?

I am really confused as to what i should do. I want to make the transition from Psychology to Data Science.

I have received an offer from a local university to do AI and Data Analytics MSc with 3 month placement. This is not a good university at all. I don't really want to go here but job prospects are my main concern. I have also applied for Urban Data Science MSc at an Russel Group Uni, i really like this city and the course looks more interesting to me.

I am kind of lost and confused. Im already going to be at a disadvantage as a psychology grad, the 3 month placement is more wise, right?

wow - strange course. I don't know the first thing about it. It could believe that its great and lines you up for fascinating careers. I could also believe that its a 'not real' data course with lower entry standards which doesn't lead anywhere. Thats always the problem with new career paths.
