Bristol vs Manchester for Economics

I've received an offer from Bristol and Manchester and I'm not too sure which university to pick. I'm not too worried about grades; I care more about accommodation, nightlife, social life, academics, teachings, opportunities etc. I haven't gone to either university to see the economics department because I wasn't able to. I was wondering if anyone is making a similar decision or is going to either university. Can anyone give me any advice on which university to pick? As well as that, I applied to Bristol with a study abroad year which I received an offer for. Does this mean I am guaranteed the study abroad year as long as I get the required grades in university or not?
Bristol has had some problems with housing due to the increased amount of people meeting their offers because of covid grades, but this year will probably be better and you’re guaranteed accommodation as long as you meet their requirements. I’m currently a bristol offer holder and I’m worried that I may not be allocated my top 9 choices for accom but guess I can’t rly do anything about it
Bristol is also known for having a rly good nightlife, which is ideal for socialising down at pubs, attending parties etc, so if that sort of lifestyle fits you then i definitely recommend bristol!
I’m not too sure about Manchester but I do have friends/relatives there, I’m sure it’s also an amazing uni but see if anyone else can give you more inputs on that x

Thx, this was really helpful. I'm a bit nervous about accom too cos I keep seeing tiktoks of people not getting any of their top choice but tbf, this was last year when the uni was oversubscribed with applications.

Economics also. I will put either Bristol or Man as insurance.

May i know the rationale for choosing Bristol?

If you're putting it as ur insurance, what's the grade requirements for ur firm uni because if it's A*AA, then I would put Manchester as ur insurance. I went to the open day and I really liked the vibe and atmosphere. My sister's friend went there and she really liked it.

In case I fail to meet the requirements of the firm uni, insurance choice will be secured automatically as both Bristol and Manchester are unconditional offers

Impossible to have a visit before the deadline so i want to get more advice from TSR.

Probably best to give your reflections on the following for future applicants:

1. The course
2. The uni
3. Social life
4. Accommodation
5. Myth busting
6. Top tips

Thanks
