Imperial Computing Workload

So I have an offer to study Computing at Imperial this year. I'm still deciding on where to go to but from what I've heard, Imperial's workload is huge and nothing like any other university (besides maybe Oxbridge).

To what extent is this true and how manageable is it in terms of mental health? Also, does accommodation play into how you were able to deal with the workload (e.g. more time to work if you live closer)?

I mean it's probably the best computing programme in the country. Work load may be hard but typically computing exams are way earlier than most subjects so you get more holidays. Also the computing society is by far the richest society at the university and frequently host open bar nights and other free all inclusive events for its members, so you have great balance between work and socials. Accommodation shouldn't matter that much and halls are only for a year, then you can live wherever you want.
