Is dental hygiene and therapy a good career

I love the career etc I am not in it for the money but does it pay well? Is all I'm asking. Because if it doesn't pay well I might transfer to dentistry any time in my life

I think you’d be able to live comfortably with the pay but it won’t be as much as a dentist. The longer you train and specialise as a DHT you can increase your pay. I’d say speak to actual DHT on linked in or social media to get a better understanding of the pay. Dentistry is more stressful though since you have more responsibility and you aren’t working under the prescription of someone although you get payed a lot more. Maybe getting work experience in a dental setting so you can speak to the whole dental team. I know that many dentists feel that their pay doesn’t actually reflect their work especially under the NHS despite their long training and working conditions but that’s the case with most healthcare jobs 🤷*♀️
