Are Foundation Years competitive?

For context I've received a condition offer for the Sussex University Arts and Humanities Foundation Year (CCC) which is now my firm choice

Hi,
Whilst I cannot generalise for all universities and courses, I'd say that the most competitive foundation years would be in medicines or sciences which are normally the most competitive for a full degree anyways. The entry requirements for a foundation year are significantly lower than the full degree so as long as you achieve the grades in your offer you should not have to worry about how competitive it is as the year is to get an understanding of the subject before committing to it and to help you choose what you want to do in the future.
Hope this helps!
