Can I use uni-ball eye pens in A level exam

Im worried about using the uni-ball eye fine pens in exams, they're my favourite pen but some people online said they're gel pens and I know those can cause issues when scanned.
Can someone who has taken EXAMINED A-levels please let me know if they used this pen and if it caused issues?

fyi I do have bic rollerball pens but I just hate how they write

It is an exam rule that states you have to use a black ballpoint pen. As you've said, if you use any other pen, it will not be scanned properly, or they may disqualify you entirely!
I mean, you can take the risk of using that favourite pen of yours. The reason why gel pens are banned is because some are unsuitable for exams - causes smudges, leaks through paper etc. If that's not the case for your pen, then you'll probably be fine. Some people still use gel pens, pencils, and blue pens in exams with no consequences. But it's probably safest not to use that pen, since I'm pretty sure that smudges pretty badly in my experience. Your choice.
