Is taking a BTEC L3 extended diploma with an additional IB SL a good idea ?
Hey, im in my last year of GCSE's. Next year i am going to do a Business BTEC L3 extended diploma with an additional IB SL economics. I want to know if this is a good idea and will give me good options in the future. For example being able to go to uni's like Kings college london or any other top uni's. Thankyou
If you are looking to add anything to a BTEC take A level Maths. It is the single most important subject for Economics. Without it you will struggle to get into top unis for Economics.
Also check whether the unis you are interested accept BTECs. Some London ones dont.

As above - you will need A level Maths, and many top Unis will also want A level Further Maths.
Even for a middle-ranking Unis like Sussex, you will need GCSE Maths grade 6 - https://www.sussex.ac.uk/business-school/study/undergraduate
If you dont excel at Maths, you may need to rethink Economics at degree level.
