Stop Wasting Your Time

I think there's a pervading problem with certain groups of people, where they are unable to listen and/or to accept new ideas, acting like brick walls because you can't get through to them no matter how hard you try. Some people just don't care what you have to say and will appear rigid and stubborn to your attempts at trying to garner a reaction or agreement from them.

The best solution to this problem? Don't waste your time on trying to win them over. People who refuse to listen won't listen, so interact with people who do listen and care about who you are and what you think.

This can include people you consider friends or family members, if they are perpetuating unhealthy behaviours, you can try to get them out of their habits, but if they don't listen then all you should do is leave them to it-and don't let them bother you. When they start bothering you, that's when you either need to tell them straight how you feel or to leave them alone-trying to passively ignore and brush off their behaviours is only going to encourage them to do the same things in the future-which will likely annoy and agitate you again.

Do you experience people who refuse to change their problematic behaviours and do you put up with it?

So wish this advice works on colleague, bosses, and distasteful politicians.
