Marketing is not an area where having a degree in it would drastically improve your employment prospects

It's an area where you need squat all in order to get into the industry
•
Experience is more valued than academic knowledge
•
There is a plethora of other courses and certificates that you can take that are more current, have better information, and more creative use of marketing applications than what you can find in a marketing degree
•
Marketing degrees aren't usually internationally recognised, but professional certificates like CIM are (and CIM has one specifically for digital marketing)
•
There are better specialist qualifications for digital marketing e.g. IDM, DIM at a fraction of the cost of a degree
•
No degree that I have come across includes anything on copywriting, which is a key skill in marketing
