Biomedical sciences will not quaify you to deal with patients or administer drugs or medication, even under a doctors supervision (like nurses do). Nursing would be your best bet. Biomed is a mix of theory, lab techniques and scientific writing through assignements. Nursing is theory and practical learning about dealing with patients.
Have you looked at Operating Department Practitioner? One of their career paths is down the anaesthetics route.
