passport update on UCAS

passport update on UCAS

I just updated my new passport info on UCAS, would the uni i applied that i applied to atomically know it? because i think that they have to use to to generate my CAS letter later on, and in the student visa section, the website only said "If you need a visa, please update your record on UCAS to include valid passport information and send us a message to confirm you will require a visa" so do i still need to email them about it , or is just the update on ucas okay

Some Unis are updated automatically by UCAS, some are not, so its always a good idea to email both your Firm and Insurance Universities with a copy of the photo/title page of your new passport.

They’ll usually email you to confirm your details ahead of preparing the CAS but as above, it’s a good idea to send the new details ahead of time.
