The time has come: Kingston Freshers' Week 2023!

As a new term fast approaches, so do new students - or more importantly, so does Kingston Freshers' Week 2023, organised by your very own student union!

Every year, the Union of Kingston Students hosts an entire week of events and icebreakers, allowing new students at Kingston to form friendships, make memories and take part in activities ranging from club nights to fast-paced, on-campus laser tag. Running this year from the 18th-24th September, Freshers' is one of the most well established events on Kingston's social calendar - and an excellent way to expand your friend circle beyond just flatmates and coursemates!

But on top of providing new students with the opportunity to take part in activities they may never have had the chance to try out otherwise, Freshers' is also a great fundraising platform for the student union, with all money going right back into improving your student experience. Whether it's financially supporting societies, aiding academic appeals or providing Kingston students representation in university matters, the work the Union of Kingston Students do is truly invaluable - and trust me, will definitely benefit you throughout your time here at Kingston!

Early Bird wristbands are £50, with the second wave of wristbands going up to £55 - but, if you're really feeling the Kingston spirit or just want some cool merch, why not consider the Wristband and Hoodie combo for £75 (normally worth £110)? All packages are available to purchase through kingstonfreshers.com, with wristbands permitting your entry into all paid and free Freshers' events announced, as well as all Pryzm events before 11pm - definitely saving you some money when you're working on that tight student budget!

More events are yet to be announced throughout the summer: so keep a close eye on @kingstonstudents on Instagram.

- Eve (Kingston Rep).
