Does it matter where I do my LLB?

Obviously I know some universities are better than others in terms of resources, employability opportunities, facilities and rankings etc. but I am mainly wondering if, for example, I could go to Glasgow to complete my pgdip in professional legal practice and work in Glasgow if I obtain my LLB from Edinburgh university? It’s just I’ve heard some firms/employers may be biased and accept graduates from the city they are based in? (btw I couldn’t get into Glasgow incase anyone asks why I didn’t just go there in the first place)
I think as between Glasgow and Edinburgh for Scottish students it would not make much difference. In England big firms tend to recruit people with highest exam grades and they usually to go to the top universities so it tends to be best in England to go to the hardest to get into one you can manage.
