Gap year- is it worth it?

I received my a level results ABC- A economics, B religious, C maths

I had high hopes hoping to achieve aaa, while religious i was 5 marks off an A it is not something im looking to retake- maths however i would want resit instead to get an A

However even with AAB will the universities i want to study at give me an offer?

I want to do economics as a degree but some unis i want to apply have an AAA requirement, eg loughborough birmingham. My question is how likely would they be to give me an offer since i have a B in religious studies

If you dont intend to resit, and you dont meet their entry requirements?

I intend to resit but only maths, hoping to achieve an A in that
But with AAB, B in religious, can i still apply to unis which require AAA for an economics degree

Its very unlikely that you will get an offer - Econ is very competitive and Unis asking AAA will want exactly that - and more - not one grade below in achieved grades where you are not retaking to get what they are asking for.
