Is having £1500 left every month after paying rent and all bills enough to live in london?

Yes.

Though you need to define what expenditure isn't included in "rent and all bills".

Rent, council tax, service charge, utility bills, travel.

In that case £1500pcm is more than adequate.
It depends on your specific ambitions and personal circumstances.
Your standard of living preferences, diet, health needs and any debt repayments you have to make.

You will need to come up with a monthly budget that will cover the costs of groceries, takeaways, medications you need, alcohol, books, academic supplies, your social life, clothes and any expensive hobbies you have.
Ideally try to save some money each month for a rainy day fund.
Good luck!
