Investment banking

Hi,

Currently thinking I'm going to apply for E&M Oxford, then Pure econ at Warwick, UCL, Notts and Birmingham. I understand that Ox, Warwick and UCL are strong targets by investment banks and so going to either of these places would massively help me in a career in IB, is this correct?

But my main question is that I really like the look of the UCL Econ with a year abroad is the US programme but unsure how this would affect my IB chance (its a 4 year degree with US in 3rd year). Like I understand that springs weeks/interns are really important for IB and would the year abroad in anyway negatively impact this. Basically, I just want to know if there is any negative catch with choosing the US year abroad programme over the pure econ 3 year UCL degree?
