Deferred entry?
I am hoping to apply to Durham to read Natural Sciences, should I apply deferred or wait and see if I get an offer and then as to defer? Any advice please.
I applied deferred entry to all my Natural Science application including Durham and got an offer for all. Some asked about a plan but most didn't.
I chose to apply deferred because I was always going to take a gap year and this allowed me to do it with the least hassle. I recommend applying deferred, but be ready to explain why if asked.

If you are certain, apply for deferred entry.
If there is any doubt at all, apply for this year and then request to defer if needs be.
Easier to to do it that way as unis are likely to be more agreeable to deferring than trying to un-defer you if you change your mind.
