Odds of getting into LSE economics without FM/should I take it for AS?

Hi guys,
I've just completed my first year of A-Levels - predicted A*A*A* in Maths, Economics and Biology, and am currently doing an EPQ (got 7 9s at gcse, with 4 8s in some irrelevant subjects).
I'm hoping to get into the LSE economics course, which states that 'further maths is desirable', but also that 'It is acceptable to take Further Mathematics to AS-level only'.
My school offers further maths AS and A level, but with NO STATISTICS MODULES which I understand are the ones relevant to economics.
Given that stats aren't offered by my school, should I bother taking further maths AS to try and get in?
Will my odds be significantly lowered if I don't? Without it, will I still have a good chance of getting in?
Thanks 😁
