IB language change
Essentially I need help!
I did a GCSE in French and got a grade 8, however I am doing French B SL and I am predicted a 5. I tried moving down to ab inito and I got rejected as apparently it is legally not possible (if there is proof for that, please send me a link to it). I also got the lecture on how I should be confident, revise actively and little by little to eventually get a 6 or 7. I genuinely do not know if I can achieve this and it is affecting my mental health a lot. What should I do, and is there any advice?

What's ab initio? That's possible in the IB?
