Secondary PGCE/SCITT wanting to move to primary?
Hey, I’m currently studying a PGCE with QTS through a SCITT route in Secondary humanities. I’ve spent a week in a primary school and realised how in my element and how much more I loved the teaching and setting in general compared to my current placement in secondary. I have experience with younger children through coaching sports teams since I was 16 but also worked in a secondary school too recently which is why I chose the secondary route. I understand how competitive primary is but I just have had a much better week than I have since starting my placement in sept at my secondary but don’t know what to do or how to go about this? My current placement finishes on 6th feb and then I’ll get placed in another secondary. Can anyone help or advise what I could possibly do at this point?
