UCL VS LSE employability

I have an offer from UCL and LSE for PPE. Should i meet the grades, i honestly do not know which to pick from. Many people tell me LSE is better in graduate prospects and employability, but also heard UCL is better in that sense. I’m looking to get into law / IBD , so which one is better in that regard.

There is no denying UCL has an excellent reputation with employers. Also, remember it is up to your individual characteristics for a graduate scheme job application to be successful. Nevertheless, LSE has a 'stellar' reputation globally worldwide; so it would be wise to accept LSE PPE. 🙂

literally makes no meaningful difference but it seems LSE is gold standard for humanities/social sciences so go for LSE I would suggest.

I would take advice from those in the industry that you are interested in. They will provide the most pertinent points of view.

Bear in mind that your enjoyment of your course and the environment you are in will have a significant impact on the outcome of your degree as well as your happiness.

LSE offers Econometrics, but the degrees are almost the same in the other papers they offer.
Do you want to be at LSE? If so, do you want to be an ‘independent’ learner?* Because competition amongst LSE students is high.* Nevertheless, they also help each other a lot too.* Also, LSE library has multiple copies of all the desired books.* UCL is also good, but the library is always so busy and it is not a specialist like LSE.

Also, accommodation is slightly better with LSE as well as the food and drink served in the halls of residence.
More importantly, 70% of LSE is international and about 50% at UCL.* So where would you like to be?

Lastly, LSE has a reputation globally on par with Cambridge and Oxford. As well as the fact employers are always impressed by the graduates of the LSE, however UCL is no easy feat.* For example, I spoke to a BSc Economics UCL student and he told me he had studied 5 A-Levels and achieved all A star and A grades yet he almost struggled at UCL, as the workload was so intense.

So it is all up to you really, perhaps you will be happy with LSE or if you want UCL’s less competitive atmosphere?

hmm. I’d say the difference between them is negligible at least in the UK. Either one will do wonders for you

no chance. if you are referring to the law course then just maybe. in terms of law employability, they’re both neck on neck.

It's the same employability and will ultimately depend on you, and not which of the unis you go to. Pick whichever course you prefer.

I'd note the offerings from the philosophy departments at each uni seem to be a fair bit different on the whole?

Are you an International student or HOME student?

What are your GCSE grades?
