How do I get grades 7-9?

Hi. If you’re reading this then I hope you can relate. I’m looking for websites and advice for how to revise the following subjects and achieve better grades. I’ll also leave my grades next to them.
- Biology (6-)
- Business (5+)
- Chemistry (6)
- English Language (5+)
- English Literature (5+)
- History (6-)
- Maths (7)
- Physics (5)
- Religious Studies (7-)

I typically look on YouTube and type something like "how to get 9 in GCSE [insert subject]"

If I were to give you links for every individual subject, this would be an extremely long post. So instead, I would just give you links to YouTube videos that offers general advice for getting straight 9s at GCSE (so far from the first page of Google):

I'd leave you to find the other videos.

From the above, you should see similar advice being echoed in all the videos:

Past papers

Flash cards

Active recall

A very lengthy and intensive timetable

I would prioritise past papers under timed conditions over most other techniques, since you would be going into the exams and be facing exam questions under exam conditions. The usual end of chapter questions in your textbooks won't likely give you a real feel of what the actual exam question would be like and you won't be tested without having to figure out what the questions are actually asking of you.

If you need to, I would recommend using Notion (app with AI capabilities) to help you revise or summarise certain topics. It's also good to help you set up a revision timetable, if you don't feel like doing it yourself.

Sciences- Practice papers to find weak topics, then work from least to best topics. You can do this using “physics & maths tutor” which have flashcards, practice papers, definitions, notes for free.

Maths- Practice papers. You can find on physics and & maths tutor

RS- I don’t know your exam board but if it’s AQA i fully recommend the videos Ben Wardle makes for each topic- so good, helped me get a 9. Make notes while watching his videos on quotes, key arguments for each point ect. Also learn how to structure your answers as in paragraphs and how many points in each

English lit- It’s boring but either speed read each book or read summaries for each chapter, then find key quotes and organise into a word document by themes and character. Then to practice try to do analysis of quotes while trying to include context

Eng lang- Practice papers, Very boring. But if you can scan it and upload it on here then I’m sure someone will give you feedback or just hand it to your teacher even though it’s embarrassing
