Suppose my 2nd grades are 49.53% how much would I need to achieve a 2:1

This depends on the weighting of your 2nd and final year. e.g. It could be 70/30 or 50/50, which as you can imagine would make quite a bit of difference.

Hi there,

I would suggest talking to your personal tutor or even course lead about this as they will know exactly how the grading for your course works and what you would need to achieve your goal of a 2:1. They may even be able to help you to achieve this by giving you some support in how to write assignments well and even give you some exam techniques which can also be useful.

In that case if we use a grade calculator such as this one, we can see that you'll need around 65% average over your final year to get into the 2:1 bracket overall.

Please note this doesn't take into account any quirks of your unis classification system, e.g. rounding near misses or discounting modules.

As above, best to speak to your personal tutor to get advice as to whether a jump from 49% to 65% is feasible and what you can do to achieve it.
