Year 12s: what will be the first way you research your future options? >>

JET scheme

Just wondering if anyone here is considering the JET (Teaching english in Japan) scheme or has been on it? I'm really interested but want to know what my chances are of getting in with probably a 2:1 in Sociology from York, I've got an English A level at grade B and I've been a volunteer with the Scout movement for about 9 years. I know it sounds really good but I don't have any TEFL experience although im learning Japanese at the mo, and I've looked at the website and it kinda makes out all you need is a degree in something and some enthusiasm, so want to know to what extent this is true... Any experiences of it??? :p:

My friend managed to get on it with a 3rd in Economics from the LSE and very little foreign language experience. You should have no problem.
