Unconditional from UWS

Nice, I've not heard a peep from UWS ><
Everyone: what have the interviews been like? (especially Strathclyde, UWS, Dundee & Aberdeen) I know mine will/might be a tad different as I'll most likely do a Skype/phone interview, but I want to know something of the basic structure, different themes and all

I want this process to be over alreadyyy... I have the worst patience ever.
Has anybody heard back from Glasgow yet?

You will soon  They said 2-3 weeks so I wasn't expecting to hear so soon, but maybe they've started their first wave of decisions, who knows!
Hope they get back to you soon

Yeah, I hope so. I'm dying to see the new campus!

For Aberdeen it was a 5 min solo talk and then they asked you questions, about why you wanna be a teacher, why Aberdeen, ect. Usually lasts about 20 mins, or if you're (un)lucky like me, 40 mins ><

Solo talk?? Sorry I'm a bit lost here. What's the solo talk about? For some reason I have the image of some really pompous guy saying "me, me, me me me... me me, me!" I think that's not the case lol

Interviews are completely new to me, I've tried to do some reading about them but I want to know about real experiences. In Finland you just do entrance exams, bleh. :s-smilie:

That sounds like my group! I'm not sure how else to describe my group to see if it was the same one :/ We were up a flight of stairs and along a bit?

Basically when they send out your letter with the interview date, there is a list of four videos you have to watch, you then choose which one you like best and talk to them for five mins about the video. Like what you found interesting, what you didn't like about it, and stuff like that.

Don't worry, there is no entrance exam I don't think
Although there may be an English one for you as you'd be an international student.

Yeah, if I get a conditional the conditions would most likely be that I'd have to get a good number on either IELTS or TOEFL. The tests cost like 150 quid or more, ugh. Oh well, Scotland is totally worth it

Thanks for the info x

Yeah the e-mail said that they're aiming to start sending the offers at this time. That doesn't really guarantee anything but I really hope they would start sending them next week! :daydreaming:
