Writing a dissertation discussion is quite literally trashing your experiments, over and over again. Scientists are some of the most brutal critics I have ever come across. Yes, because I purposefully chose to do an experiment with some faults. Sadly, those faults are part of the experimental archtechure, and if I could correct them, I might win a nobel. Until then....I continue to dissertatate :frown:

I will be nicer from now on about criticising other people's work. - If it were possible to within budget to do that, do you not think I would have done it?!

Diablo III comes out on my birthday! I will be celebrating turning 20 at midnight in Leicester Square <3
CRASH alarm went mental today - ran around looking for V.sick punters for about 3 minutes before it cut out and someone declared false alarm.

Glad for the chance to run about for a bit on what was a painfully dull day but pretty pleased no one died.

Had it been worse than Monday's dreariness: an arrest would have been much preferable.

I wouldn't count on it.

Hey guys

I have a quick question about intercalation, how do the offers work? E.g. say you get like 3 offers, do you just choose 1 out of the 3 and reject the other 2? Where as in UCAS you had a firm and insurance.
Also in the offers, they ask for you to pass the module. But when I spoke to Kings on their open day they said something about rejecting people who they made offers to because even though they passed their grades weren't good enough. Is that possible and does this happen at Imperial and Queen mary?

Thanks.

The unis don't talk to each other, so they won't know if you have offers elsewhere. Generally the offer dates are staggered, so King's came out first, then QM/BL, then Imperial last year. You then have until sometime in May, I think, to return their reply slip and say yay or nay to their offer. There's no point in having an insurance like on UCAS cos all of them will be asking you to pass the year - if you don't do that then it's unlikely any of them will take you. Never heard of people being rejected post-offer.

I'm not sure about their policy for externals, but for internals King's require you to pass all your exams & SSCs first time with a minimum of 55%. Whereas for Imperial I believe they'll take you as long as you pass your exams for that year- whether it may be first time or by resits.

Hope this helps!

My Reg has named me and one of my firm partners as, 'ant and dec'. Looks like it might continue for the whole 10 weeks. Great.
Ah well at least he teaches us well

An F1 on my gastro firm called me Swedish pornstar for 12 weeks because of my blonde ponytail.
So finals are looming and my examination technique sucks big style.
Crashed and burned in my final assessment today, maybe an over exaggeration, but knocked my confidence a little.

And while we're at it, I may as well ask for an article too if someone has this (actually it's an ahead-of-print epub, but who knows, maybe I'll get lucky...):

So, in reality, fairyspangles passed overall, did borderline in a handful and failed one. :p:
