How would you feel if you found your doctor was a prostitute/escort to fund their way through medical school? Would you feel differently if it was just for extra cash?
I know some people are bit iffy about cases like this, do they think doctors are meant to be some sort of gods and perfect? I personally wouldn't mind because it's not like they were hurting anyone and its affected they're capability to be good doctor.
I'd wonder exactly why they're doing it...it's hardly a glamorous choice of career...if it's because they can't afford to fund their way through med school, I'd be pretty saddened that we live in a society where money is constantly available for various idiotic people and causes but there's never enough for students...and this issue could get worse over the coming years:
But as for whether I'd judge them as a person or assume that they're somehow morally deficient, no I wouldn't. I'd just hope that it wouldn't interfere with their personal/academic life as like I say, it's not a simple student job like working in the SU.
I don't know why you'd ever find out something like this? Moreover, I don't know if anyone pursuing medicine would ever seriously consider prostitution, purely because if they were ever recognised their reputation may well be damaged.
