Depending on the sound you need to block out. It works for blocking out the sound of someone talking in the room next door, but not if it is a lot louder than that. And they do stay in. -

Macks Pillow soft, about to try their regular ones too
Would've needed my head set in concrete this morning though, mum's sodding partner was drilling holes in the wall downstairs before 9am. ****ing sadist!
Sorry to hear about such idiots. Got plenty to deal with myself.

I find these work fine. If you put them in right, you can forget they are there. -
Re: Earplugs
I've tried both the foam ones that go in your ear and the silicone gel ones that stick to the outside, and both were fine.http://www.hbing.info/g.gif

Re: Earplugs
It depends if you want them to block sound completely, I guess for sleeping, or if you're a musician and you want to protect your hearing whilst still being able to hear clearly.
I'm a drummer and I've been using these for years. http://www.alpinehearingprotection.c...icsafe_pro.htm
But I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for.
