Event Managemet Course. Which uni to choose

Hi! Is there anybody studying Events Management at MMU or University of Surrey? Or is there any advice of what uni is best for events management program? Really need advice and information. Thanks a lot :smile:

Of those two then according to this table Surrey seems the better choice. Much higher satisfaction rate, better employment. You cna tell by the higher entry requirements, so it would be worth checking out to see if it appeals.

Unless you're planning on going on to PhD study, the main point of a Masters is to make you as employable as possible in the career that you'd like to do. It's a year of further debt so needs to be useful for you. So, with that in mind:

...look for something where the modules match your interests - you're more likely to do well if the subject interests you

•

...ask about practical opportunities during the course (to give you experience to put on your CV) - are there placements, or internships, or anything else that will help in job-hunting?

...can you make any links during the year that might lead to future employment? if so you might decide to stay in the area after graduation. Can you see yourself living in that area long-term?

•

...which will be cheaper, once you've taken fees and living expenses into account?

Please don't get too hung up on league tables, especially as they are based on undergraduate statistics - employers won't worry about the league table position of your Masters university, they will want to know what knowledge and experience you can bring to their organisation.
