Hello, Is there anybody who is an international (EU) student and brought his/her car into UK (registered, taxed and insured abroad)? Can you tell me something about that use which is legal (but it's on the owner to proof the right to use such a car while being controlled by the police)?

BTW, many universities discourage students from having cars. Parking near university premises (including halls of residence) can be very difficult.
I read the information on gov.uk, even called the HMRC and DVLA (helpline of first of them told me while car is from EU they are not interested in taxing it or sth, DVLA told me I need only a paper from uni confirming my student status and period of prospect studies). About the parking - at halls of residence of my prospect uni limited car park is provided - so I am not that worried about that. I am asking at forums because there may be somebody who had dealed with such problem.
