Yeah because all examiners go over a paper with a rubber before scanning it in
Don't do it - if I remember correctly, the ink from those friction pens can easily be rubbed off with your finger, and the papers may have to travel a long way before being marked etc.
If the papers were to be stored in hot conditions (e.g. due to weather) prior to scanning, your writing may fade - and this is a risk you oughtn't really take. Examiners don't mind if you make a mistake, and it's only to be expected, really - a line or neat scribble through will do suffice, providing that it's still legible. 😊
