Can I still do A2?

I got a D in AS Media and I was wondering if I can still do A2 Media next year?
Will I have to retake the whole year? Or can I just resit the exam while doing A2 Media?

Probably a good idea to drop it if you can? Otherwise you're going to have to resit the entirety of your AS in January.

My college only requires a grade E to get onto the A2 Media studies course, I also got a grade D so assume I am fully able to continue on with the course next year.

Well it depends on the college that you go, some will let you continue but if you want a better grade then you'll have to resit the modules.

Dropping it isn't really an option as it's probably the subject I need most.

I'm forgetting that the new sylabus only has 2 mods sorry, well as i said it would be up to the college and what the teachers thought was best, if it was the exam that was the worst then you can re-sit that, if it was the film project i'd ask a teacher. Sorry i'm not being that helpful.
