Need an article subject! HELP!

Ok, tonight, I need to write a 1000 word article for my english coursework. We can do it on anything we like. However, I can't think of what to do! My mum wants to see a decent chunk of article in the morning, in condition for being allowed to stay up mega late.

Write it on something you like/enjoy. One of your hobbies? It'll seem less like hard work that way?

Hmm, doesn't sound bad, but I need to find something that can be read in front of the class without being embarrassing, since shes guaranteed to pick a few.
