Just reading notes and it says how it is a doppelganger. Enemy is also reflection in mirror. This is used to stress common humainty of 2men from opposing armies to reinforce message that in killing your enemy you kill yourself.


Im not sure, but could this line back it up:

'I am the enemy you killed, my friend.
Let us sleep now.'

Where he and the other soldier are both each others enemy's and will both be the same in death. eek, not sure, im just rambling!!
