Looking for lambing experience.

I was wondering if anyone on here had any contacts for lambing experience for 2011?? I am really stuggling to find out how to get placements for this. Any help on where to look or how to approach getting some experience would be gratefully recieved!

Where abouts are you?

I've found most of my farm placements by a combination of phone calls and from contacts with other farmers.

Have you done any other farm placements where you can ask if they know/can suggest any sheep farms? Large animal vet practices, again, ask them if they know anywhere. Ring farms from the yellow pages.

Also, bear in mind that some places will only just be finishing up from this years lambing, and will probably be getting ready for shearing, so might not even have thought as far ahead as next years lambing yet! But you could arrange with a farmer that you will come to them at lambing time, but will contact them later in the year to check dates.
