You can become a geologist and it is fun if you like rocks.

I was just wondering what the course is like at Uni and I'd like to know a bit more about it. So any information would be useful really. Career prospects? Best Uni's for it? Fun or not?

Cheers.

Almost throughout the whole course you will be looking at rocks. Or half the course if you are doing some variant like Environmental Geochemistry.

But most people who study finish a Geology course quite like that sort of thing.

Post this question to the Geology forum.

But you won't get such valuable insights from me, as I don't hang out there.

I think it is a great subject, all the best bits of geography chemistry and physics. I like rocks though so I am weird

Sorry for the thread hi-jack but cba making a new thread. I was just wondering, if you have studied A-level geology, is this advantageous to you for the first year of the degree?
