Standard Offers...

There have been a lot of posts recently about whether or not people ought to apply / have good enough grades etc.

Whilst it's possible that we can help - all we can offer is our own opinion.

What would, perhaps, be useful, is a summary of the departments' expectations, in general.

Remember, however: A strong personal statement, an abiding love of the subject, evidence of extra-curricular interest - all of these can cause them to offer a slightly (Perhaps 1 grade lower) offer. Also, mitigating circumstances are taken into consideration, where appropriate.

So, according to the official literature, a typical offer would be:
Anthropology - AAB
Archaeology - ABB or AAC - BSc Archaeology requires 2 science A levels incl Maths & Geography; BA is any A levels except General Studies.
Biological & Biomedical Science: - ABB - Biology, Chemistry recommended
Economics - AAA
PPE - AAA

Ancient History - AAA

And, obviously, if I'm corrected I'll change it

Anyway - it's also here in a slightly nicer form...

First correction already - but my excuse is that it was a quick guide, across a large number of unhelpful websites
they're actually identical on the website - I'll change that now

I must have meant to copy the extra bits over...
Good effort Alloram

Good effort Alloram

No problem - it seemed like a useful resource to have available

Relieved that I got in the year before it changed to this - it used to be ABB!

Good work, this should be useful for a lot of people

Might be worth putting that in to clarify what the individual entry requirements are, because on the uni website it just says you need to secure an A level in History/English/etc.
