that was a guess from what you said.

you know what the chassis is?
a bent chassis is pretty serious (properly bent means a write off)

He said it was bent and that made it hard for him to fit in the bumper back or something.

I had to drive like 60miles after the crash so the car still runs smoothly...

I'm guessing it's not a write-off it's getting straightened? :dontknow:

Old fazers break? I think it's just that badly looked after bikes are more prone to breaking, I've seen a lot of ~2002 fazers in good condition! The SV is most expensive for me to insure of those listed (In L3 of Liverpool, 2 years NCB, 20 year old) I'm looking to spend around £3k!

Not new style?

My old style fazer never breaks and i'm very lazy with looking after it.

The only trouble i've had is when i decided to throw it down the road at 50mph. And even then it was all fixed for only £200(+about 50 man hours of fathers time)...

Old style> New style. Although old style with the new shape headlights/fairing is good. Think that's from like 99 onwards until the New new style(Like JezRR has) came out.
think they're both as good as each other, my mate has a new 'un that had been used for dispatching and is on about 75k going strong, but have seen an 80k in the older shape..

its probably worth checking how much he is going to want for to fix it.

2001 and 2002 only from memory, or it might have been 01-03? Mine was the revised headlamp style and looked much better IMO than the older ones.

As for reliability, very good. Only thing to check is the gearbox. Put it in second and hoof it, it should stay in gear, if it drops out under load then you're probably best looking for a different one.

Something like that would be where my money is going. I know its a sporty riding position, but my 'Blade is 10 times as comfortable than the Fazer, even on longer journies. Plus its the F version, so not as punchy as the full fat RR bike, and easier to handle around town and for daily use.

See what you can get, i've had no issue with the 2's in bad weather (or covered in oil) and oli loves the 3's and i think josh does too.
