Summer internship after gap year?

Is it possible to take a gap year for this year after completing 2nd year, to apply for summer internships for summer 2012 before entering final year?

Anyone know whether banks have a problem with this? Thanks

no problem. That's what most of the French students in business schools do. 2nd year (actually 2nd in the bschool but 4th actually after high school) => gap year => summer => final year of the Master degree.
