Access Course and Applying to UCL

Just wondering did anyone apply to UCL, doing an Access course and receive a straight offer or interview day?

I can't speak for other departments but the archaeology department still intervews. I got my offer through in the space of a week last year. Hope this helps a little:smile:

i've applied for archaeology this year and still haven't heard anything...but i only sent my application in december! I'm thinking they've probably got a backlog of people from the rush to get in before the deadline. it's obviously a popular University, so it may take some time...
whatever their decision tho, they will get back to you. my tutor keeps telling me, no news is good news... :/

Likewise, "no new is good news", got one interview, just waiting on my other subject option at UCL and LSOP. True say, becoming incredibly impatient, see that the other universities have such a quicker turnaround. It would be interesting to know how many people they actually interview and give places to afterwards.

I can't really comment beyond what I said above, particularly in view of the fact that I sometimes socialise with some of the academic and admin staff, for which I apologise. Not for socialising with them I mean for not able to help more  I know it doesn't help I but I remember just as tense last year.

Hope all works out for lauraamiee there's a really positive attitude here to mature students in my experience and there's quite a few of us in my year so we have a good community. If you need to know something do feel free to PM me tho I only log in weekly by and large.

Thank you LewiaH  I really hope I'm being considered! I've done a lot of work with units etc over the past year and hope that'll go for me hehe I'm helping to write a book and all sorts! The cherry on the cake would be a place at UCL tho  I'm guessing your thoroughly enjoying yourself? hehe
