How often do you hear Everton away fans singing 'Maggie Maggie Maggie, Die Die Die'?

The Hillsborough cover up plays a massive part in anti-government resentment in LFC quarters.

Completely agree.

Not that Thatcher isn't hated by a lot of Evertonians who lived through those days of course.

Yes, but how is that related to socialism? Hillsborough and socialism vs. capitalism are two separate issues aren't they?

It's called having respect.

You don't have to sing it if you don't want too.

But booing it is very disrespectful to our country.

Or just disrespectful to the queen. God save the queen don't mind the rest of us...

That wasn't the reason they were booing it though.

Just going to back up that it's not a scouse thing, it's an LFC thing.

Everton didn't boo the national anthem in 2009 - I was there - and the vast majority of our fanbase is obviously scouse. We don't have the same kind of victim mentality that a large part of the Liverpool fanbase has.

Do Everton fans ever rob tickets to finals outside the ground from mothers and kids or is that just a LFC thing as well?

Maybe the term socialist was the wrong phrase.

However, LFC is most definetly a socialist football club. Shankly built it from the bottom up on socialist values.

Fair enough. I'd say that the vast majority of Everton's support is left wing as well.
LOL-no one cares. It is not my national anthem mate and the Liverpool supporters should of booed more.

T The anthem has more to it than just the queen.

...?

God save our Gracious Queen,
Long live our noble Queen,
God save the Queen.

I could go on.

When a song rhymes Queen with Queen it in its opening lines you can be pretty sure that the Queen features quite heavily in it.

Surprised that this has not got more coverage.

Disgraceful behaviour from the Liverpool fans.

What kind of idiotic fan boos their own national anthem?

Maybe we should play the Norwegian anthem for them next time.

Might be more relevant to their fanbase
And the welsh one.

So because I don't agree with you i'm on crack? Interesting theory there.

Supporting a club who you have never been to watch is idiotic.

What about people who watch the NFL or other American sports, European football leagues etc? Nothing wrong with it mate...

I can't say I've seen anything like that happen, but of course over the many hundreds of matches I've attended I've seen other shameful behaviour.

Then again for important matches like finals every Evertonian that deserves a ticket will get one, the same can't be said for Liverpool fans as they have more season ticket holders than ticket allocations for finals, hence some might resort to very drastic (obviously awful) measures.

All I can say is that every club has its scallys and scum.

Fair enough but have you noticed how 90% of Asians in Birmingham don't support a local club.

Proper annoying.

Yes it's good.

The English one is good as well, I have no idea why they keep playing that awful GSTQ

I love Jerusalem and also "I Vow To Thee My Country", no idea why we can't have one of those as the Great Britain national anthem for the Olympics instead of GSTQ.

Well Jerusalem has the word England in it, I'm guessing The Scots and Welsh would be outraged if that was the national anthem for the Olympics.

not gonna lie, a lot of my asian friends support united with 0 connection to the town haha, at least half of them, but they're just plastic/armchair fans anyway so it doesn't matter

That's why smaller clubs tend to have more passionate fanbases
