A very good hotel in bristol wanted
    Hello ,

I'm coming to Bristol for one week with my friend so I'm looking for a good hotel (5* or 4* style room) located in an interesting and lively area where you can find around restaurants, cafes, shops and malls within walking distance (not for night life). Also if it's possible to be in a green area or with a park around. I spent a lot of time in tripadvisor and booking.com but couldn't make up my mind because I never visited Bristol and I can't trust pictures. So please if you tried a good hotel please let me know.

    Thank you

I've never stayed there (although I have been to an event there), but the Avon Gorge Hotel is meant to be very nice. It overlooks the suspension bridge, is next to a park, and is in Clifton Village, which has lots of cafes, restaurants and boutique shops.

I've never stayed in any Bristol hotels but I lived there and would definitely recommend that one for the location and the view, perfect. I always wanted to stay there for the view! And yep the village is lovely, great little shops and restaurants. About forty minutes' walk from the centre if you fancy visiting there and it's a lovely walk, too.

Stay in The Avon Gorge or the Marriott Royal.

I read the reviews about the Avon Gorge in tripadvisor. they all agreed that the view is great but the hotel is not good, what do you think?

beside is there any mall around? or how long it take to go to it by nus?

The Bristol Marriott fits into that description. 4 Star hotel, right outside college green (big patch of grass) which is right next to the cathedral, Cabot circus which is the best place to shop in Bristol is about a 10-15 minute walk down the road and you've got park street literally opposite the hotel which has masses of Cafes and a fair few restaurants all the way along it. The waterfront again is only about a 5 minute walk and there's some nice restaurants/bars around there.

The Marriott isn't 5 stars but it's pretty close. Right in the centre of the city so plenty to see.

I'd recommend the Berkeley Square Hotel is got more character than your standard chain hotel, but if you ever need something a little cheaper it's sister hotel The Clifton is really close by too.
