" many people ". Not most and not all and therefore cannot be directly linked.
As misguided as it is you are entitled to your opinion and as such I leave you to it. Think id best keep my " strong answers" for people who can articulate strong replies.
I'm off to look at my tattoos and admire my body mutilations, in fact your opinion has me so very traumatised that I may need to go and get another. Enjoy :-P

Strong replies? Haha, you are joking right? You have provided no sources so have nothing. This is how you make a strong reply:

Can I ask why you think that many people get tattoos during or straight after traumatic times? Yes, some people do get tattoos after losing someone close to them but that's not the case for loads of people. Also, if tattoos are 'unnatural' and 'body mutilation' in your opinion , do you think the same about piercings? Personally I completely disagree but i guess you're entitled to your own opinion.

Why do you think losing someone is the only traumatic thing that can happen to someone ? :curious:
It's to express themselves, or use their body as a canvas using permanent paint as it were
I don't know, the right tattoos and a bloody good tattoo artist and yeah they look decent, however if you're having a tattoo of something stupid like #yolo (true story) then it's absolutely stupid and defeats the point of tattoos and gives them a bad name, but people have them for all sorts of reasons I guess

I don't like tatoos, and I'll never ever get one. They don't even look nice, but that's just my opinion. You can express yourself in other ways, writing music for example.

People who say 'ink' as well just annoy me.

Entirely up to people what they put on their skin, not a fan personally and wouldn't get one, don't mind them on girls if they are small. The problem is people want to have their cake and eat it, to be able to get whatever they want done and their employer to be fine with it, there's even that 'tattoo acceptance in the workplace' page I see come up all the time. Tattoos are a choice, not like race, disability, gender etc and as such an employer has every right to not hire someone based on their tattoos.
I get them for me, because I like them, and don't really care if people look at them and feel offended.

Taking offence to things and anonymously ranting on the internet appears to be the latest fad sweeping the nation.

Next time you see someone with a sleeve, or a rake of tattoos, please do come up and tell us that tattoos offend you, it will make our day.
My dad has tattoos and I think their pretty cool, though I would never have someone's name, a place or a memory tattooed, I would though have one of these!

I like the first one best! But their both cool!
Edit:
Not a fan of while arm tattoos but this is pretty sick!
