medical students and tattoos
i’m applying to medicine this year and would love to get some tattoos, for 3/4 of my options it doesn’t say anything about tattoos (except for no hate symbols/anything offensive obviously) but i’m hesitant to think about any visible tattoos because i don’t know the general opinion of tattoos in that field at the moment
at the moment i’m thinking probably only non-visible tattoos in a clinical setting but that’s a shame as i was planning one on my forearm. but, i’ve also heard of doctors and nurses who DO have visible tattoos and are still viewed the same as others who don’t

I've met doctors and nurses covered in tattoos, hell even vets! Doubt you would be turned down from the field because of tattoos if you've got the qualifications and drive. I do think some hospitals might ask you to hide the tattoos... but too picky over insignificant things when there is a shortage lol?
