Oh well this sounds promising seeing as I'm predicted to get an a* in core science this year and hopefully an a* in additional science as well.im going to be taking 3 science Alevels too so hopefully if all goes well it looks like I should be in will a chance of getting a place on a course thanks for the advice, makes me even more determined to do well in these gcse's now ! well done to your friend for getting three offers though I'd be ecstatic if I got 1 offer let alone 3 ,!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeh and plus the sixth form I want to go to is a grammar school and they base their places on predicted grades but I'm predicted a's in everything apart form maths which I'm predicted a b so I'm pretty confident I will get in,but if I don't then I doubt there will be much chance of me doing pharmacy as my current school has such a rubbish science department and the woman who does chemistry has a really strong accent so I wouldn't even understand what she was teaching me if I ended up having her :/

grammar schools aren't all that just warning you, so you're not disappointed tbh.

Are you planning on doing maths at a-level? Some Pharmacy courses ask for an A at GCSE maths (eg Nottingham) unless you're doing it at a-level in which case they'll want A/B

It's got to be better than my current school though which managed to failed ofsted only a few years ago and I feel that I would get better results if I was surrounded by people who actually want to do well instead of just a bunch of chavs who couldn't care less if they ended up with three D's and a C and I want to study all three sciences at Alevel and the grammar school I want to got to is a specialist science college so it would be stupid not to want to go there, everyone always says to me that I should if gone grammar anyway so it seems right that I should apply to go there.thanks for the tip though I will try and lower my expectations !

this is the problem I have because maths is my worst subject but I'm going to do tons of revision all summer so that I can helpfully get an A in the November exam or if not get a A when I retake next year in June. I'm going to be taking physics at Alevel for this reason instead if maths as there's still some maths involved but it should be at a level that I can deal with, hopefully that is !

Obviously if you can get the A it would be good because it would be a shame to start writing off certain unis so soon, but don't worry if you don't get an A because there are plenty of good unis which do Pharmacy that don't ask for you to have an A

Oh ok then because I'm either going to get a A or miss it by a few marks or so....or end up getting a b if I don't put the work in :/
