I'm 23 and my hair is getting thinner. Seems to run in the family. If it gets much worse then I'll probably get rid of most of it.

I don't think I'd consider anything like a transplant or any other kind of treatment because they can be expensive. I think I'd look a bit stupid with very little hair. I'm not too sure my head is a good shape for it but I think we're all apprehensive to some degree about a drastic change in look. We're used to seeing ourselves a particular way for a long time, so it's difficult to imagine ourselves any other way. Shave your head and any new people you meet don't care because they don't know what you used to look like.

I also think the likes of Prince William have made going bald at a relatively young age somewhat cool.

One thing you could try, and this is not a cure, is minerals, especially zinc. You might also try increasing your dietary intake of omega-3:

-Zinc
-Iron
-Magnesium
-Copper
-Selenium
-Omega 3 Fatty Acids

After dealing with thinning hair for several years now, I've found I no longer care about it. I've had both long and short hair, and now I have shaved it off (with clippers so the hair is still about 1-3mm in length). Fortunately, all the different styles seemed to suit me to varying extents. Before doing something drastic like hair transplantation, I would suggest at least shaving your head once to see if it was at all acceptable. May as well exhaust all of your options before making such an irreversible move as transplantation.

I've also looked over hair treatments and options in the past. I still hold out hope for a stem cell treatment and at that stage will no longer shave it off, but until then, I have found that I quite like having very short/no hair.

Now a days Hair loss become common problem in Men and Women. I can understand your situtation from which you going through. Hair is precious part of the personality of anyone.
However Hair Transplant is the only permanent solutin for Hair loss. But if you don't want to do it right now. You are on intial stage of Hair loss. So i suggest you to stop it now. Many other medical, surgical and non-surgical treatments are also available in the market. Now just need to find a good dermatologist who have adequate experience in this sector.
Hi!
We are twins, and both my brother and I are balding in the front above our foreheads. It is interesting that we started balding at the same time. Affordable hair transplantation was important for us. The FUT method was out of the question, we had seen a great many negative things about it on photos. We surveyed many clinics, here in this country as well as abroad. We sent photos to several places and we received various offers, but eventually we decided on PHAEYDE Clinic’s S.H.E. (Single Hair Extraction) method, because it was important for the transplanted area to be extremely dense. For me 3,800 pieces of hair were transplanted, for my brother 4,200. I would not say that it was a short day, but we encouraged each other, we drew each other’s hairlines, we came up with ideas, thoughts... of course with the guidance of the hair transplantation specialist doctor.
I hope my story was helpful to you.
I`m not (completely) bald - well i do have a large "patch" at the back, and the rest of my hair is very fine and thin - also my hair line is "M" shaped (receded at the front sides)

For 5 weeks now i have been taking certain health suppliments, as well as adding thing to my diet which are proven to block DHT - which is the main cause of hair loss.

I have yet to see any positive effects of these supplements, but it is known that the "balder" you are, the longer you take to "re-grow" hair.

(although i am about 95% skeptical this will work - with 5% HOPE that it it will!!!)

I take (mostly in capsule form if it is an actual supplement):

saw palmetto,
flaxseed oil,
zinc,
liquorice root,
biotin,
pumpkinseed oil,
omega (3,6,9),

green tea,
spinach,
maca,
coconut milk,
amonds/walnuts.

But, as i say - 5 weeks and i haven`t seen a single NEW hair yet!

But, the saw palmetto is supposed to be very good for those who have MINIMAL and recently occuring hair loss (you do have to keep taking it, even after your hair grows back)

The cost of hair transplant treatment is depend on various factors. These include:

Where you live:

The type of procedure you choose:

The skills, qualification & experience of your surgeon:

How much hair?FU you required:

Travel cost:

Hair transplant is the best way to regain your hair back. Although it is done everywhere in India but its results vary from one doctor to another doctor. There are several procedures for hair transplant like FUE, Bio-FUE, B.E.S.T (Bio Enhanced Simultaneous Transplant) FUT and Robotic FUE etc. It depends upon doctor’s experience that which method he opt for hair transplantation.

If you are thinking for hair you may want to consider travelling in order to get your hair transplant at a reduced/discounted price. A popular destination for hair transplants today is visiting India. If you want to get hair transplant in India. I know the Delhi is the prime location for hair transplant, where you can get best treatment of hair loss or male/female pattern baldness. The cost of hair transplant totally depends upon the zone of bald area/baldness and number of graft require. Only a hair transplant surgeon can tell you about the cost structure.

I know the Delhi location for hair transplant surgery because my brother had done hair transplant from Delhi location... i.e. DermaClinix and i love to share that it is the largest hair transplantation center in Asia.

In all honesty, a hair transplant is a last resort treatment for a lot of reasons. It's pretty expensive, high maintenance and not guaranteed to work.
You're still very young so I would recommend looking into other treatments first before resigning yourself to a transplant.
Look into serums and topical treatments which can encourage hair growth and strengthen the hair you have. A quick search will recommend things like minoxidil, although be aware that once you start using this you must continue for the rest of your life and it can have negative side effects (bear in mind that you have to use this after a hair transplant too).
There are lots of other serums that can help lengthen the hair growth process, it’s really a case of doing your research.
I think you need a hair transplant surgery. Here is a result preview of a successful hair transplant. Under the supervision of experienced doctor hair transplant is the best way to treat baldness.

hello all

I'm starting to lose my hair

Im 23 and just cant come to terms with losing my looks and attractiveness to women forever.

Im fairly certain that I'd like to look into a hair transplant sometime in my life.

Ive made threads about hair loss before, I honestly just think that I will never come to terms with it. Hair has such an enormous bearing on a mans attractiveness, its also linked to his identity and masculinity. Its not nice losing your looks at 23 and it the hair loss will make me look really old. I would look ridiculous bald, its not like I could pull off the Vin Diesel look, im too young anyway.

I dont think that I will get any responses on tsr, but has any here any experiences of hair transplant? Or is anyone else considering having the procedure done?

Any advice at all from anyone?

You can use special oils that promote hair growth.
Thats pretty rude preying on his insecurities like that...

All I'm suggesting is that the OP is not ready to exploit some important qualities real women consider before passing judgement on the follically challenged, like intelligence, fitness, sensitivity, humour, style, bedroom prowess etc...

There is nothing more pathetic than an insecure flower clinging to bald man syndrome to presumably make up for their follicular limitation (that may even exist only in one's own imagination).

So, sorry if I offended you Ferret, but if you're over 17, I wouldn't hold my breath for mother nature to supply you with the additional coif to feed your mile wide, inch deep ego. Your stuck on the wrong side of the ledger.

What you said was pretty rude.
